Is it Thanksgiving yet? No? Okay. I am just binge eating for sport in that case.
Song of the week: “212” by Azealia Banks ft Lazy Jay. This is one of my favorite running songs and it is 0% safe for work.
Last week’s workouts:
Monday: Nothing. I made a $25 donation to Refine Method by paying and being too tired/lazy to show up to class. You’ll see this is a trend in this post.
What if my bitmoii self is my best self?
How is everyone doing? If you’re not feeling so hot, check out this post from earlier in the week. I’m sending good feelings and virtual hugs your way.
Now, on the workout front: Usually I like to alternate types of exercises (example: not run 3 days in a row!) but it didn’t work out that way because I had to travel mid-week. So I front-loaded the week with Refine Method to make sure I met my 2x week commitment. I enjoyed it, actually. #AllTheRefineMethod
I also ran 13 miles this weekend, which is not a lot for me in general, but big number for me right now, and I’m pretty excited about it.
Song of the week: “Wake me up before you go-go” by Wham! (Yea; this song makes me really happy.)
Here’s what went down:
Hello, hello. How is your week so far? How was Halloween?
This week marked week 1 of the Refine Method challenge, and I am loving it. I feel so sore so much of the time, but I feel like I am actually getting stronger.
Song of the week: “No Children” by The Mountain Goats.
All the workouts:
Hi lovelies. How was your week?
Does anyone else read Leo Babauta’s Zen Habits blog? It’s on my Feedly feed, but I don’t read it every week. But I happen to take a look recently, and a post really hit home for me. I’ve been feeling a bit stressed. (I wrote about it here.) Leo wrote about his method for dealing with stress and I thought it was worth sharing.
In other news, I want to start sharing a song of the week with these weekly fitness rundowns. Interested? Great. Let’s start right now.
This week’s tune: “I’m glad I hitched my apple wagon to your star” by The Boy Least Likely To
It’s not new, but I re-found it and re-fell in love with it. It’s upbeat and has a unique yet catchy sound.
Now for our regularly scheduled recap:
Monday: I took a class called “Endurance” at Uplift Studios. It was a fabulously fun and challenging workout. Lot’s of jumping around and tons of strength work with weights. Also, great 90s music.
This week was a lot of fun, but now I’m pretty tired and my constitution is 90% sugar. I used up my 10 classes at ClassPass about a week before my CP cycle ended. ClassPass users, have you been going through your allotted amount ahead of schedule? Or is 10 classes per month a good amount for you?
I also have some pretty cool news. Cuckoolemon was chosen as one of Feedspot’s top 100 Fitness Blogs. Thanks, Feedspot!
And now, for this week’s workouts and some really silly photos:
