This Sunday, I marked another year around the sun and Cuckoolemon celebrated its third birthday. Thank you for all the kind birthday wishes on social media and IRL. If you have a child under six and s/he has not yet recorded a video singing “happy birthday,” I will still be accepting submissions until the end of the week. Those videos are my absolute favorite and I watch each of them minimum 10x with a huge smile on my face.

Last week was all about not running so damn much now that the Cherry Blossom race is over. So instead of running, I watched a documentary about an ultra-marathon and felt totally inspired. (Video at the bottom of this post!)

Happy Monday! Did you have a long weekend? Did you do anything fun? I spent the weekend in Great Barrington, Massachusetts (I had a hair and make up trial for my wedding!!!). Here’s how I spent the last week in workouts.

Monday: Nothing
Tuesday: Lyon’s Den Power Yoga hour-long class with Matt (Hey, it was Valentine’s Day!) They played power ballads and it was taught by John Murray who was an awesome instructor. Sign me up for more.

A few weeks ago, I participated in Kale with a Side of Fries‘ two-week winter detox jam. I am going to write about my experience soon, for sure. Since the detox, I’ve had a renewed excitement for healthy cooking. I wanted to bake something sweet. I scoured the internet for a healthy muffin recipe and found this 5-ingredient one from the blog Pinch of Yum.  The recipe is super simple and the muffins were delicious. I used these gluten-free oats from Bakery on Main. They have 8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber per serving! (No one is paying me to say this. Though I would be open to accepting dollars, OKAY Bakery on Main?)
