Hi Ladies and Gents! I am still waiting on my new orthotics so I didn’t go running at all this week. But thanks to ClassPass, I kept busy on the workout front. I also have a Refine Method package and a Barry’s package, for those wondering.  I currently have the 10 class per month ClassPass membership.  I tend to go over 10 classes a month when I’m in town a lot of the month, even more so when I’m not running.

Here’s what went down:

It’s time for a bit of real talk. I’m all about fitness, healthy eating  and balance but let’s be real. I’m not perfect. Or remotely close.

I was a bit of a stress mess last week. A series of events collided, and I just got a bit overwhelmed, and when I am overwhelmed I plan. I take action. I’m the opposite of an avoider. I’m a crazed doer. And lucky for me, there is a big fat event coming up for me to plan: my wedding.

I’m not a super frilly lady. I don’t wear make up (mostly because I don’t know how) and the only time my hair gets blow dried is if I pay DryBar or RPZL to do it. I can’t name any flowers on sight other then roses and sunflowers. In middle school, I got a B- in a class called Mechanical Drawing because I could not draw a straight line with a ruler, so it is safe to say I’m not artistic or crafty.

Somehow I only worked out 4x this week. Is that right? I’m fine with it, but it’s very unlike me! Here’s what went down:

Monday: Didn’t work out. I pulled a muscle in my butt and wanted to rest.

Tuesday: Spin class at Flywheel with Lissa.  Earned my highest Torq score in a while (263). Totally recommend Lissa’s class if you’re looking to push yourself.

Wednesday: I ran 4.3 miles. I ran by destination, not distance which was a great change of pace. I decided to run to the reservoir, do a loop and run home instead of holding myself to set mileage.
