Every time I worked out last week

Monday: I took a walk in Jamaica State Park in Vermont with the ski crew. The trail was a sheet of ice. The first thing I thought when got out of the car was: “Oh, here is where I sprain my ankle.” But luckily no such accident occurred.

Good morning! Hello from the other side of a busy week. (For what it’s worth, I like being busy.)

Last weekend, I took a trip to the west coast to visit my best girl Natalie, who recently became a mom! I flew to San Francisco with friends Simone and Jamie to meet baby Ellie and pay her mom a visit and it turned into a really special weekend! But before we get into that, this week’s recap.

Athleisure Mag invited me to try IMAXShift  a new spin studio in Dumbo. I was not paid to write this post, but I was invited to attend this event and class for free.

IMAXShift is a hip new spin studio in Dumbo. They have a unique take on the traditional 45-minute cycling class. The bikes are set up stadium-style, facing a giant, Imax screen.

Hi lovelies.  How was your week?

Does anyone else read Leo Babauta’s Zen Habits blog? It’s on my Feedly feed, but I don’t read it every week. But I happen to take a look recently, and a post really hit home for me. I’ve been feeling a bit stressed. (I wrote about it here.)  Leo wrote about his method for dealing with stress and I thought it was worth sharing.

Monday: I took a class called “Endurance” at Uplift Studios. It was a fabulously fun and challenging workout. Lot’s of jumping around and tons of strength work with weights. Also, great 90s music.

This week was a lot of fun, but now I’m pretty tired and my constitution is 90% sugar. I used up my 10 classes at ClassPass about a week before my CP cycle ended. ClassPass users, have you been going through your allotted amount ahead of schedule? Or is 10 classes per month a good amount for you?
