Last week the New York Road Runners announced the results of the NYC Marathon lottery. Did any one get in? I’m running NYC (and it’s my first ever marathon) this year and would love to know if any readers/friends will be training too. Let me know in the comments! I am no newbie to the barre scene. I’m a devoted Physique 57 fan and I’ve tried all the major studios: Exhale, Barre3, Pure Barre, FlyBarre and Xtend Barre. I’ve even taken a barre class in PanamaBut recently, I’ve fallen hard for Pop Physique. This LA-based studio opened in NYC last year and I’ve had nothing but fabulous experience sinces.

A few weeks ago, I participated in Kale with a Side of Fries‘ two-week winter detox jam. I am going to write about my experience soon, for sure. Since the detox, I’ve had a renewed excitement for healthy cooking. I wanted to bake something sweet. I scoured the internet for a healthy muffin recipe and found this 5-ingredient one from the blog Pinch of Yum.  The recipe is super simple and the muffins were delicious. I used these gluten-free oats from Bakery on Main. They have 8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber per serving! (No one is paying me to say this. Though I would be open to accepting dollars, OKAY Bakery on Main?)

I wasn’t feeling so awesome this week so I only worked out a few times. 

Before I jump into this week’s short re-cap I wanted to share a little info about my new iPhone case. I had a reckless history of iPhone ownership. I’ve drowned my phone in the toilet (who hasn’t?), tossed it down the incinerator of a large Manhattan apartment building (it was an accident), and left it in too many cabs to count (though the NYC Taxi dispatcher system always seemed to find me and return the phone; god bless them).
