Do you have a bucket list? If so, I have a suggestion for an addition: hike a glacier.

A few weeks ago I flew to Iceland with my friends Lenore and Tricia. Fresh off a red eye, we hopped into a microscopic Toyota Yaris and drove straight across the bottom of the country. Iceland is an ideal place for a road trip (at least in the summer). Extra hours of sunlight guide your journey, not so many inhabitants (traffic jams are caused by horse crossing more than rubbernecking), and gorgeous views from your window most of the way. Also, there is one main road aptly called “Ring Road” that circles the perimeter of the island which makes touring easy.

Around Christmas I bought a 5-class pack to Epic Hybrid Training on Amazon Local. My ankle was still pretty bad, but at $10 a class with six months to use it, it seemed worth it. Matt bought one too. It sounded like a nice thing to do together. (Spoiler alert: we’ve only gone together once.)

So what is Epic Hybrid Training? It’s a studio with two NY locations that’s set up to prepare students to kick ass at Spartan Races. (You know those races where warrior-like humans crawl under barbed wire and through mud?)

Not this kind of Spartan:

My best bud Natalie lives in San Francisco. This is very inconvenient for hanging out. But when she does grace the East Coast (or when I visit her out West) we easily fall back into old routines.

It’s been nearly two months since my last post.

Cycling 22 miles to Coney Island was pretty much a mic drop as far as this blog and my fitness life are concerned so I’m okay with the dramatic hiatus.

I am certain that questions of my whereabouts crowded web forums in similar style to chatter about Tupac’s disappearance. That is unless you follow me on Instagram. From my millennial-esque oversharing, you know exactly where I was. (#ButWhereisTupacREALLY?)
