I’m Nicole, the crazy bird behind Cuckoolemon. I read a ton of very serious (and very admirable) running and fitness blogs. And I love them.
But dear curious about-page reader, more likely than not, you’re like me. I don’t have a razor sharp competitive edge, or low enough splits to stand on a podium. But do I own a formidable chest full of spandex workout clothes? YES. I exercise, I try new things. I’m sorta into kale. Sometimes I trip over my own shoelaces and sometimes I set a new PR. If I get up at 5am to work out it’s under duress.
So why should you read this? Because I am going to explore new health/sports/fitness activities, and I’m not perfect. In fact I’m a major league goof. So it will be a fun, realistic journey that I hope you relate to.
I live in New York City (center of the universe, sang it girl!). I moved from Washington DC in 2012. I come from a family of exercisers, not athletes. I’ve run two half marathon, and improved my time by nearly 25 minutes in the second.
