My favorite post on the blogs of others is the occasional time they list of favorite things. I love finding new books, classes or a even just a cool sweater from someone’s recommendation. But I’ve been a taker and not a giver. So today that will change. I thought I’d share a few things I’m digging recently.
I was overdue for a pair of sneakers. I haven’t purchased a pair of non-running sneakers in, I don’t know, 5 years? And I am obsessed with these. I barely take them off. I wear them for non-running workouts and just, in general, all of the time.
- Narcos on Netflix
Narcos tells the story of Pablo Escobar, the infamous ring leader of the Medellin drug cartel. Please go down the rabbit hole and watch this series. Season 2 is even better than Season 1.
- Maria Andrew’s illustrations on Instagram
She just gets me, life, womanhood.
I bought this just as temperatures started to dip. By the time it arrived this October heatwave had come to town, but I can’t wait to wear this deliciously soft dress once it’s no longer 75 degrees out. I also bought those Oxfords the model is wearing in the Cognac color. I had them shipped using one-hour delivery on Everlane, and while it took a little longer than an hour, it was pretty cool when someone just walked in and handed me a pair of shoes.
- This piece that’s been floating around by a former Lucky mag editor on her divorce and beautiful BK brownstone. Highlighted quote, “You are either the type of person who just wakes up knowing that vases look nice in a cluster, or you are the type whose boldest design statement is by default the recycling pile.”
- The customer service at Minted.
I had a few wedding-related things made at Minted and their customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced. You can go back and forth with a designer creating your perfectly designed stationary or menu at no-cost to you. They messed my first order when it was printed. The colors were washed out. They rush ordered a new print for me at no cost and it arrived days before they said it would.
What are you loving these days?
