My 3 favorite strappy sports bras

Strappy sports bras are everywhere these days. They pair well with those low-sidecut shirts that are so popular at SoulCycle and Fhitting Room classes. For the longest time I avoided them because I couldn’t imagine they were actually supportive or comfortable. But I now own three that I love and I am excited to share the wealth with you.

Keep in mind, I’m not a large-breasted woman. So my idea of support might vary from yours.

The Onzie Elastic Back

This is the classic strappy back bra.  It’s the first strappy bra I ever saw (probably on a fashion blog.) I think Onzie pioneered this look. I love this bra, it’s easy to get on and off and it looks awesome. It’s not supportive enough to run in, but I love wearing it for hot yoga or barre. I like pairing it with this Onzie top.  (I have one with a hot pink strap in the back.)

The Lululemon Energy Bra

Despite the intricate back detail, this is a really serious bra. I only wear it if I’m planning to run or do high impact activity because it’s a little hard to get into but so supportive once you’re in.

The Sweaty Betty Infinity Bra

Full disclosure, Sweaty Betty/Movemeant Foundation gave me this bra (and an awesome tank top and pair of leggings) for free for my participation as a blogger in this month’s Dare to Bare event. But no one asked me to write about my love for the duds. I might not have purchased this bra before my introduction to it, because at $65, it’s pricy. But now that I have one, I’d definitely get another. The Infinity Bra offers a lot of support (I would totally run in it!). It’s very comfortable and very easy to get into (not true of the Lulu one but I love it anyway). The back is intricate but the straps still lay flat. I have it in a bright neon and it screams energy.

Am I missing a great one? What’s your favorite sports bra?

I love the look of strappy bras, but I always get tangled like a fly in a spider web trying to put one on.

HA! Then I think you might like the Sweaty Betty one. It’s easier!

Love the energy bra and strappy bras in general! I am a 34 C/D but actually don’t really need crazy supportive, they sound bigger than they really are lol
