Life really got in the way of my fitness routine the last two weeks. I’m physically feeling the effects of the workout hiatus and as so often follows the free-falling eating habits. But I readily accept that these things happen. I’m hoping to get back on track next week. But here’s what went down.
Week 1: 6/27- 7/3
Monday: Didn’t work out
Tuesday: Challenging barre class at Flex Studios
Wednesday: I cancelled my workout in order to get my photo taken by the NY Post for this article.

Thursday: Cancelled my workout because of a Matthew-related kidney stone emergency (he’s ok now!)

Friday: 2.5-mile run to get my yayas out during a quick hospital break
Saturday: 3-mile run in Sag Harbor
Sunday: Mat 57 at Physique 57 in Bridgehampton. Adrianna taught, so it was a great class

Week 2: (7/4-7/10)
Monday (July 4!): 4-mile terribly hot and hard run around Sag Harbor into town.

Tuesday-Friday: I had strep, didn’t work out!
Saturday: A surprisingly good Core Barre Fusion class at Exhale, then I Citi-biked to LIC.
Sunday: I walked out of really bad Flybarre class. I think the AC was broken, and the format of those classes just doesn’t jive with me anymore.
Question: Do you ever walk out of fitness classes you don’t like? Do you have opinion on it? Personally, I try to stick it out, but if I find myself miserable, I bounce. YOU?
1. Cool that you got your photo taken for NY Post.
2. Glad to hear that Matthew is fine now.
3. Hope your strep throat is gone now.

Thanks so much. How’s your summer going?
Great. I had a wonderful two week trip to Slovenia and Croatia that I’m slowly writing up. Hoping to get a post out today.
