Hi friends! Happy New Year!
I want to thank everyone for all of the love that was delivered around the Bravo post. I was so excited and surprised to be included in their list fitness gurus to follow. Definitely check out the other four bloggers on that list, there are some pros on there.
I am back from a 12 day trip to Colombia. We hopped around the country, visiting cities, small towns and beaches. Unsurprisingly, Matt and I had an active trip, and I’ll fill you in on some of the fitness highlights over the next few days. But first, for our regularly scheduled week – well two weeks- in review.
Week 1: 12/20-12/26
Sunday: I took an hour-long Power Flow class at Lyon’s Den. As a special treat Matt came with me for his first hot yoga class. As always it was a sweaty delight.
Monday: Post-work Physique class

Tuesday: Pre-flight Barry’s Bootcamp (legs and butt). This was so hard. It does not get easier.
Wednesday: Walking around in the Cartagena heat
Thursday: 2 mile run around the Walled City in Cartagena

Friday: Walked around Salento, Colombia to get used to the altitude

Week 2: 12/27-1/2
Saturday: Day 1 of a 2 day trek in the Andes led by Salento Trekking. We reached over 14,000 feet in altitude overall, and hiked for 6 hours on day one. Full post to come.

Sunday: 2 day trek, day 2, this day was…let’s just say a horse is involved in my descent.
Monday: Walked 10 miles around Bogota

Tuesday: 2-hour bike ride around Bogota (more to come on this!)

Wednesday: Rest (we were in a small town called Palomino)

Thursday: Rest
Friday: I kayaked for like, 5 minutes.
Saturday: Nope
So that’s it. Now I’m back in NYC. Did you work out this holiday season? How did it go? Tell me things.
How did you all decide on this vacation spot? I can’t wai tto hear more!

We wanted somewhere close, warm, and with outdoorsy activities (hiking, swimming). We went to Ecuador the year before and loved it so we thought we’d move a little further east 🙂
