Hi lovelies. How was your week?
Does anyone else read Leo Babauta’s Zen Habits blog? It’s on my Feedly feed, but I don’t read it every week. But I happen to take a look recently, and a post really hit home for me. I’ve been feeling a bit stressed. (I wrote about it here.) Leo wrote about his method for dealing with stress and I thought it was worth sharing.
In other news, I want to start sharing a song of the week with these weekly fitness rundowns. Interested? Great. Let’s start right now.
This week’s tune: “I’m glad I hitched my apple wagon to your star” by The Boy Least Likely To
It’s not new, but I re-found it and re-fell in love with it. It’s upbeat and has a unique yet catchy sound.
Now for our regularly scheduled recap:
Monday: I took a class called “Endurance” at Uplift Studios. It was a fabulously fun and challenging workout. Lot’s of jumping around and tons of strength work with weights. Also, great 90s music.
Tuesday: I ran 5 miles! Fall running is the best running.
Wednesday: Didn’t work out (it was Yom Kippur)
Thursday: Peloton class with Alex Toussaint. Alex is an incredible instructor and it might just be because his music is so energizing and cool. I feel like I’m at a club. To be honest though, the subway was slow so I got to class 5 minutes late and then left 5 minutes earlier to shower. I still got a solid 35 minutes in, which is better than nothing. The morning spin-class shower situation is tough. 90% of the class needs to go to work immediately after so the shower line is long and no locker room is big enough to accommodate 40 sweaty people rushing to get ready for their day jobs.
Friday: No exercising but I did have Italian food for lunch AND dinner. #Achievement
Saturday: Refine Method. Always. So. Good.
Sunday: I wasn’t going to workout but Matt convinced me to do a short run with him and I ran 3 miles. No regrets.
How was your week? Try anything new?
